My Thanksgiving break was very relaxing--a good reward for all the school workload and college applications that I've been struggling to manage for a while. On the first Sunday of break, I went thrift shopping with my friends Joshua and Alex. We didn't manage to find anything good, but it was still worth the try, I guess. While we were at it, we also found a birthday gift for one of our friends, Jeremiah. We planned to give Jeremiah his gift on Tuesday, the day of my Friendsgiving with Alex, Joshua, Jeremiah, and a bunch of others.

Tuesday was a day loaded of fun and different activities. First, Alex, Joshua, Emma, Mridul, and I watched I Want to Eat Your Pancreas at Mridul's house. This was for our English midterm assignment; we were tasked to watch a movie and write a 3-page review on it. This romance film was an anime quite well known in the anime community. It was heart wrenching, wholesome, and entertaining to watch. After the movie, we went ice skating at the Sugar Land Ice near First Colony Mall with a bunch more friends. That was probably the highlight of Tuesday. I had a lot of fun ice skating and helping Alex and some of my friends get comfortable on the slippery ice. My friend Elijah also taught me new skating techniques that I have yet to refine. Finally, the actual Friendsgiving started at Mridul's house. Each person brought a unique food, drink, or dessert to the dinner table. I brought spaghetti, Emma brought chicken, and there was actually too much food at the table to the point where there was so many leftovers. Before and after eating food, we played billiards, poker, and other games. Most importantly, we surprised Jeremiah with a rather ugly birthday cake and his birthday present that Alex, Joshua, and I purchased. After we got ourselves stuffed, we ended the Friendsgiving with a game of Quip Lash from Jack box! This entertaining game gives each user a prompt and requires them to type a funny response that best completes the prompt. The user with the funniest responses wins!

Wednesday and Thursday were my core relaxation days. Although I pretty much did nothing those entire two days, I finally fixed my sleeping schedule and got more than 8 hours of sleep for once. On Friday, I went Black Friday shopping with my mom and dad at the Galleria! I bought three items: a knitted sweater and gray sweatpants both from H&M and a nice polo from Zara. I'm grateful for these pieces as I can try out a new style. These three clothing pieces were my mom's contributions, though. My dad got me a very cute cat sweatshirt from Yesstyle that I am very excited to receive and try on.

On Saturday and Sunday, I slowly had to embrace the fact that school was starting back up again and that my days of sleeping whenever I want for as long as I want was about to end. Emma, Mridul, Joshua, Alex, and I started our movie review assignment for our English midterm. It was tedious, but we managed to get it done. I'd say we worked on it for over 11 hours together in total. We managed to write more than 5 pages, too.
